• Resume content, job applications, and interview practice data
• Connected account data (LinkedIn, GitHub, Google — when authorized)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services
• Generate AI-powered resume analysis, job matching, and interview coaching
• Send job match alerts and application status notifications
• Auto-apply to jobs on your behalf per your configured preferences
• Analyze market trends to provide insights and salary data

3. AI Data Usage

When you use our AI features (resume analysis, interview coaching, job matching, etc.), your content is sent to our AI service providers (currently DeepSeek) for processing. AI providers do not train on your data. Content is transmitted over encrypted connections and is not stored by AI providers beyond what is necessary for processing.

4. Chrome Extension Privacy

Our Chrome Extension only activates when you click it on supported job listing pages (LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Remote.com). The extension does not track your browsing history, does not monitor tabs you are not actively using, and only scrapes job data when explicitly triggered by you.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data in these limited circumstances:

• With AI service providers as described above
• With your consent (e.g., when you connect LinkedIn or GitHub)
• As required by law or to protect our rights

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS 1.3), encryption at rest (AES-256), secure password hashing (bcrypt), and regular security audits. For full details, see our Security Policy.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data as long as your account is active. You may delete individual items (resumes, jobs, interviews) at any time from their respective pages. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, go to Settings → General → Danger Zone → Delete My Account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access all data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data through your account settings
• Export your data in machine-readable format (JSON)
• Delete your account and all associated data

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (JWT session token) and preferences (local storage). We do not use third-party tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may prevent you from logging in.
